Miracles - What do they prove?

“Jesus went everywhere in Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the Good News about the kingdom of heaven, and healing all the people's diseases
and sicknesses.”  (Matthew 4:23)

Does God still work miracles?

Bible warning - “Don't be deceived! Not all miracles are from God!”

• Eve was deceived!  (Genesis 3:1)
• Satan disguises himself. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)
• Not every miracle worker is on his way to heaven.   (Matthew 7:21-23)
• The purpose of a miracle may be to deceive.  (Matthew 24:24)
• Satan works miracles.    (2 Thessalonians 2:9)
• Most of the world will be deceived.  (Revelation 13:13- ; 16:14;  19:20)

How can we tell the difference?  How can we be protected from deception?

• We need to know - what truth is! (2 Thessalonians 2:10) - Who truth is!  (John 14:6)
• Test their fruit. (Matthew 7:17-20)
• Test what they teach.  (Deuteronomy 13:1-5)
• Does the healer demand God heal. (1 John 5:14)
• Does  the healer teach the person to obey God's  laws of health.  (Galatians 6:7)
